Hello!
I am Nicole, and this is my wife Kyna along with our children, Zenny and Mackenzie. Both Kyna and I have a collective 15 years' experience caring for children; myself as a teacher in a Montessori infant/toddler program in my home state of Michigan and Kyna as a Child Life Specialist supporting children through life events of illness, injury, grief and hospitalization. It has always been a dream of mine to have a home-based child care program.
My Story
During my tenure as a Montessori lead for an infant/toddler program I grew a profound passion for that method of early education. The early years are a vital developmental stage, with various sensitive periods that I believe provide an amazing opportunity for children to wonder about the world around them, discover themselves and their capabilities and thrive with appropriate levels of independence. Drawing on 10 years of experience working with infants and toddlers in the Montessori environment and inspiration from the Montessori method itself, I work to create an environment made for kids, to have choice and freedom to explore. Play includes practical life skills, social and emotional learning and a focus on the foundation skills required for reading, writing and math alongside skills such as concentration, organization skills and confidence.

In my life outside of child-care, I love spending time outdoors, doing pretty much anything. We love to walk our two poodles around twin lakes and appreciate a great dinner party. My goal of creating a home-base childcare program has come to fruition in Lakeview Littles and I hope to support you and your family though trusted care for your children.
